Outback Business Night of Nights Takes Shape

The date and venue have been set for the regions business night of nights, the Northern Outback Business Awards with global logistics leaders EMO Trans once again securing the coveted naming rights sponsorship.
To be hosted on Saturday October 15th at the Mount Isa Civic Centre the 2016 EMO Trans Northern Outback Business Awards will celebrate excellence in business, recognising outstanding contributions to the growth of the region’s economy and showcasing innovation and progression from businesses spanning from Mount Isa to the Gulf, right through to the Flinders and Etheridge Shires in the heart of Northern Queensland.
Traditionally a sell-out gala event, the awards evening made up of a 3 course meal, entertainment, special guests and award categories ranging from Customer Service through to Emerging Business recognises Northern Outback business industry leaders through the acknowledgement of innovative business processes, product development, sustainability and overall business success.
Also recognising the important social and environmental contributions made by organisations through excellence of service, commitment to their customers, philanthropic ideals, ethical behaviour and environmental sustainability the 2016 EMO Trans Northern Outback Business Awards is hosted by Commerce North West in partnership with Queensland Governments Department of State Development- North West Region.
With award nominations set to open in the coming weeks and tickets also set to go on sale soon through Mount Isa’s Civic Centre, Commerce North West President Travis Crowther spoke of the importance of the annual business awards to the region.
“We (Commerce North West) feel it is very important to recognise those in business who have experienced growth and success in their businesses throughout the year” said Travis.
“Be it through stand out customer service, introduction of new and innovative business practises or even starting a new business; small to medium business is the backbone of the Northern Outback and the Business Awards annually provide an opportunity to showcase excellence along with a chance for business owners and their employees to get together for a formal evening of networking and socialising.”
