2019 Jemena Northern Outback Business Awards

Hosted at Mount Isa's Buchanan Park Entertainment Centre Saturday November 9 the 2019 event delivered a gala Year of the Outback themed evening full of festivities and entertainment.
Celebrating Northern Outback businesses; the 2019 Jemena Northern Outback Business Awards recognised outstanding contributions to the growth of our economy and provided a vibrant showcase of innovation and progression from the region's businesses.
"Northern Outback" encompasses the local Government areas of Boulia, Burke, Carpentaria, Cloncurry,
Croydon, Doomadgee, Etheridge, Flinders, McKinlay, Mornington Island, Mount Isa and Richmond.

This is for those new to business (less than 3 years in operation) with more than 5 employees that are just starting out in their chosen field but already making a significant impression in the region.
Small and Successful TOPFIRE CONSTRUCTIONS
For businesses that may be small but are making waves and achieving success across all facets of business. This category is open to businesses with an annual turnover less than $3 million.

For businesses that are kicking goals in every area. The category is open to businesses with an annual turnover over $3 million
Social Change Maker SOUTHERN GULF NRM
For organisations where a positive social impact is at the core of their purpose. They are actioning innovative solutions to address social issues and better the region. Open to not-for-profit, social enterprise and profit-for-purpose organisations (contributing a minimum of 10% of their profits back to the cause).
Workplace of Choice THE SKIN COACHES
For businesses who value their employees and realise that looking after them results in better outcomes and higher productivity. They demonstrate leadership in the growth of their people, and show commitment to staff development, incentives and work/life balance.
People’s Choice THE SKIN COACHES
Voted for by the people, this Award is for businesses that have gone above and beyond. It is an award that aims to encourage innovation, customer service, growth and excellence. All nominated businesses are eligible for public voting.

Includes all service-based positions that involve customer relations without the need for a trade qualification
