  1. Rising Star of the Year (less than 5 years in operation) This award is for those new to business  that are just starting out in their chosen field but are already making a significant impression in the region. (Not eligible to Businesses with new owners, change of ABN or rebranding)
  2. Micro Business of the Year This award is for businesses that may be small but are making waves and achieving success across all facets of business. This category is open to businesses with 2 or fewer staff. 

  3. Small Business of the Year  This award is for businesses that may be small but are making waves and achieving success across all facets of business. This award celebrates small teams of exceptional quality who are punching above their weight. This category is open to businesses between 3 – 10 staff. 

  4. Large Business of the Year  For businesses that are kicking goals in every area. The category is open to businesses staff of over 10, or locally owned franchises with any number of staff.

  5. Community Organisation of the year For organisations where a positive social impact is at the core of their purpose. They are actioning innovative solutions to address social issues and better the region. Open to not-for-profit and social enterprises and community organisations.

  6. Workplace of Choice For businesses who value their employees and realise that looking after them results in better outcomes and higher productivity. They demonstrate leadership in the growth of their people, and show commitment to staff development, incentives and work/life balance.

All eligible entries will open for:

People’s Choice Voted for by the people, this award is for businesses that have gone above and beyond. It is an award that aims to encourage innovation, customer service, growth and excellence. All nominated businesses are eligible for public voting. 
Hall of Fame Developed to acknowledge and celebrate consistency in superior business practices The Hall of Fame concept recognises award recipients who have won at least one category in three separate years. 
Business of the Year recognises the very best from across our region. The winning business through it’s outstanding achievements, will emanate business excellence and strengths across all areas of operations and highlight the Northern Outback as a  destination of choice for business. All nominated businesses who provide submissions are eligible for consideration for this award.

These awards are open to individuals within the workforce that involve customer service/customer relations, including business-to-business customer support.

Leadership Hero –

These awards recognise incredible leaders who epitomise courage, kindness, inclusiveness & authenticity and who inspire and motivate by displaying dedication to continuous improvement to achieve team goals.

These awards are open to individuals for outstanding contributions to the organisation in a leadership capacity.
